A beautiful & longing Islands, Somaemuldo. A trip to unknown areas from people and to nature on sea, CultureM Magazine recommends Somaemuldo. In fact, Maemuldo Island is divided into three types. Maemuldo, Somaemuldo, Deungdaeseom. You first take a passenger ship to the island and on foot when you get the boat or you can use a boat from the village to experience marine tour.

The scenery of Maemuldo Island is especially beautiful thus invites photographers and back-packed tourists. It takes about 1hr. and 30 minutes to Maemuldo taking a regular passenger ship and the ship operates 2-3 times a day. And, you need about 3 hours to go to Deungdaeseom from Somaemuldo Is. And if you are lucky, you can walk from Somaemuldo to Deungdaeseom if the time is right. Especially, Somaemuldo Is. is known to have exceptional view of sunset and sunrise. 매물도와 함께 통영의 절경으로 꼽히는 소매물도는 말 그대로 신비한 섬이다. 이국적인 멋이 가득한 등대섬 전경과 소매물도와 등대섬 사이 50m 바닷길이 열리는, ‘모세의 바닷길’이 나타나면 걸어서 아름다운 등대섬에 갈 수가 있기 때문이다.

두 바위가 남매처럼 아래위로 있는 것에서 유래된 남매바위, 소매물도 끝 부분에 위치한 공룡형상의 공룡바위, 진시황의 신하 서불이 3천의 동남동녀를 거느리고 불로초를 구하러 왔다가 경치에 취해 “서불과차“라는 글을 남긴 글씽이굴, 병풍을 닮은 병풍바위, 촛대를 닮은 낚시꾼들이 명당, 촛대바위, 상어바위, 망태바위까지. 매물도의 절경에 이어 컨트리뷰터 이수호의 사진으로 소매물도의 사진을 추가로 공개한다.
