House of Holland AW 15 of Henry Holland 롤리팝 보다 트렌디한 하우스 오브 홀랜드

The first collection I ever saw from the house of Holland was the SS13 collection in London and that has been engraved in my memory. Now fast-forward 3 years and change the city to Tokyo. This season’s collection was set against an industrial backdrop with yellow and black stripe caution tape lining the edge of the elevated runway.

The soundtrack of FKA twigs “tw-ache” playing in the background. The first model walked onto the runway wearing a black scarf around the neck with thick black belt, the look is draped with a pink with interlacing stripes jacket.

The overall look is dark with a touch of colour and a nice introduction for the collection. The looks range from baggie flowing pants, pleated bottom skirts, thigh high boots in assorted colours and Mongolian fur vest and coats. This was definitely a house of Holland collection; it would not be one without the splash of color.

Tough attitude and determined poise made the perfect balance for the looks. Wide legged trousers was the canvas for the second look that consisted of long sleeves black shirt under a high waist box pleated short sleeve top in pink.

A red cropped quilted top over a long waist shirt in checkered shades of pink with a red pleated skirt. Accessories in black accentuated the street-smart look with a clutch bag and a silk scarf. A model sported a handy and trendy “Sack” backpack during the show. A mixture of textures was observed for this collection.

Strategic placed patterns of checkered blocks and lines in a see through dress took the collection for a night out. Feminine and sophisticated is the woman that wears Uptown Urchins AW15 collection.

Juxtaposition of checkered patterns in contrasting tones was used for the short long sleeve dress and the open slit short sleeve top under a black long sleeve top. Pleated skirts, checkered prints, quilted cropped tops, thick black belts cinched away and gave contrast to the looks.

Models wore the black silk scarf around their neck or the assorted color Mongolian fur neck wraps. Color banded Mongolian fur wrap and coats were a key element on the collection. This was an exhilarating collection for the AW15 season, we can’t wait until this collection hits the shelves or in our case the House of Holland web store.
