Encapsulating crystal moments in the ordinary daily life 흔한 일상 속의 빛나는 특별함을 그려내다, 작가 하이경

There are sceneries that mean nothing but even in the ordinary boring daily life and scenes, we can find special moments. Artist Hi, Kyoung paints these special moments that have extraordinary stories in the corners of common city. Instead of labeling our daily life where we see, walk and feel everyday with exaggerated meaning, her painting simply portraits urban sceneries as it is and that’s what makes her painting so familiar. Actually it feels more like well-composed photograph. Her painting doesn’t require art degree to understand and feel. CultureM Magazine set down with the artist Hi, Kyoung who captures the crystal moments of our ordinary life.

그 무엇도 아닌 풍경이 있다. 흔하디 흔한 그 풍경이 일상이 되고 가끔은 그 지루한 일상이 특별한 순간이 되기도 한다. 작가 하이경은 평범한 도시 속에서 저 마다 다른 특별한 사연들을 안고 사는 사람들의 이야기를 그리는 작가다. 뻔한 일상이지만 거창하고 대단한 의미를 부여하기 보다는 우리가 보고, 걷고, 느끼는 일상의 모든 것을 캔버스에 옮겨내기 때문에 하이경 작가의 작품은 무척이다 친근하게 느껴진다. 아니, 더 솔직히 말하면 잘 짜인 구도 속 한 장의 사진 같은 느낌을 받기도 한다. 그만큼 그녀의 그림은 전문지식이 있어야만 감상하고 공감할 수 있는 작품이 아니다. 컬쳐엠매거진이 흔한 일상 속 빛나는 특별함을 그려내는 작가 하이경을 만났다.
