Memorial Museum Che Guevara 젊은 혁명의 상징, 체 게바라 기념관

The Che Guevara Mausoleum is a memorial in Santa Clara, Cuba. It houses the remains of executed Marxist revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara and twenty-nine of his fellow combatants killed in 1967 during Guevara’s attempt to spur an armed uprising in Bolivia. The full area which contains a bronze 22-foot statue of Che is referred to as the Ernesto Guevara Sculptural Complex.

체 게바라 기념관은 쿠바에 가면 반드시 들러야 하는 곳으로 체 게바라와 그의 동지 17명의 유골이 안치되었다. 체 게바라의 탄생부터 죽음까지 한눈에 볼 수 있으며 게릴라 전투 당시 사용했던 총기류와 군복, 개인 소지품 등이 전시되어 있다. 특히 그림으로만 접했던 체 게베라의 모습이 아닌 시가를 물고 탱크에 기대어 있는 자연스러운 모습의 그의 모습을 사진으로 감상할 수 있다.

If you visit in Cuba, there are something you have to see & take. That is an old car taxi in Cuba. In fact, Cuba is famous for its old cars and trucks, which can be seen in daily use throughout the country. For the first part of the 20th century, most new vehicles came to Cuba from the United States. Now, old car taxi is the representative item for Cuba.

쿠바의 명물이자 상징이기도 한 올드 카 택시. 쿠바에 가면 한 번쯤은 꼭 타봐야 하는 올드 카 택시는 쿠바의 색다른 이동 수단이다. 센트로의 광장이나 주요 관광지에 올드 카 택시 기사와 흥정할 수 있다. 부르는 게 값이라고 가격의 차이가 있겠지만 여럿이 이동한다면 버스를 타는 것 보다 경제적일 수도 있다.

Feel the soul of Cuba, Cuban cigars 쿠바에 가면 시가가 있다

Cuban cigars are rolled from tobacco leaves found throughout the country of Cuba. The filler, binder, and wrapper may come from different portions of the island. All cigar production in Cuba is controlled by the Cuban government, and each brand may be rolled in several different factories in Cuba.

시가를 빼놓고 쿠바를 이야기할 수 없을 만큼, 시가는 쿠바를 대표하는 대표적인 아이템이다. ‘돌돌 만 담뱃잎’이라는 뜻의 시가는 쿠바인들의 자존심이라고 할 수 있을 만큼 상징적인 의미가 크다. 쿠바의 아바나에서는 다양한 종류의 시가를 파는 길거리 자판을 쉽게 접할 수 있으며 기념품 점마다 각종 시가가 진열되어 있어 관광객들의 눈길을 사로 잡고 있다.
