UNICORN’s 1st mini album ‘Once Upon A Time’ 유니콘의 첫 미니 앨범

A Korean rookie girl group, UNICORN has released the first mini ‘Once upon on time’. In fact, they made a unique debut through the webcom titled ‘I am a girl group’, the new concept of genre made with professional sitcom production team, aired via Naver TVCast in Aug, 2015.

Members of the girl group UNICORN are Winnie, Yu jin, Rumi, Ga young and Sally, and they have attracted a lot of attention from the public even before the debut for that Kim Johan, the daddy of R&B, is known to be in charge of producing. Their first mini album title track ‘Huk’ is a funky R&B medium dance song with poisonous hook, powerful beat, retro moog base. Also, modern synthesizer’s sound & Kim Johan’s chorus makes it more perfectly.

신인 걸 그룹 유니콘이 첫 번째 미니 앨범 ‘Once Upon A Time‘을 발표했다. 지난 8월 인터넷 드라마 ‘나는 걸그룹이다’로 데뷔했던 그녀들이 당당히 가수로 정식 데뷔한 것이다. 특히 R&B 대디 김조한이 유니콘의 프로듀싱을 맡아 앨범 발매 전부터 화제를 불러 모았다.

그녀들의 데뷔 곡 ‘헉’은 김조한과 공동 프로듀서인 ‘NACO’가 가사를 쓰고 이준엽과 공동 작곡한 곡으로 펑키한 R&B 미디엄 댄스곡으로 중독성 있는 훅과 강한 비트에 빈티지한 무그 베이스가 인상적인 곡이다. 또한 현대적인 감성을 입힌 신디사이져와 그루브함을 한층 돋보이게 한 김조한의 코러스가 이곡에 완성도를 더해 주었다.
