The correlation between a bad guy and blowfish

There is one food item that has ironic aspects. That is blowfish. Blowfish, among epicures, is one of the most loved fish and the best ingredient. The neurotoxin called ‘Tetrodotoxin’ in blowfish is known for its deadly power. Hence blowfish dish can only be served at a prestigious restaurant ran by a licensed chef.

However we mustn’t misjudge blowfish. Because blowfish isn’t born with the toxin, instead it is accumulated by its diet. It is a one ironic fish for that matter. Although it contains such toxin that can kill a person, it has such ridiculous sense that scares itself so easily and blow up like a balloon. I almost feel sorry for it when I have to think of how it had to develop the self-defense mechanism such as thorns on rose stems or hedgehog.

Despite its go-to name ‘deadly poison’, many people still greed for this fish. So the price is only getting higher. As dangerous as it can be, we still want the taste of the fish so much that we found the most delicate skill to cook it. Does it have something to do with human instinct that attracts us to thrilling danger, as some women are helplessly attracted to a bad guy?

I could actually have a legitimate imagination if I insert woman and man in the equation of predator and blowfish. As we know now, blowfish isn’t poisonous when it was born and neither is a bad guy. Blowfish’s poison is produced by the food it took. The “bad side” of someone that we usually call it is also produced by one’s experience meaning it is more environmental issue rather than one’s own nature. Despites its dangerous element, it is incomparably attractive to win a heart of someone who can be cold to his bone as well-prepared blowfish dish can be just as heavenly.

I believe being attracted to a bad guy isn’t one’s preference but it is more of an urge to conquer something. Based on the thought ‘I am the one who got you’ that makes the woman even worse kind of person for being so arrogant. To woman who is attracted to a bad guy, as no ordinary person can treat blowfish, no ordinary woman can handle a bad guy. For him and your own sake. Throw away the condescending thought of “reforming” someone and let’s find someone who lets you be who you are.

The Correlation between a bad guy and blowfish
