Ko Song Hwa is a doyen artist of reputation who worked in Seoul and Paris since her debut. Also, she worked as a member of SONAMU artist association. She worked of art through the themes of line, face, wavelength and she held several solo exhibitions, groups exhibitions in Seoul and Paris since 1997.

When we meet the art work of Ko Song Hwa, we can find line, face, wavelength of common themes in her work. These are slightly mystreious themes to the spectors, but inside of her’s art work, theses themes tells internal feeling state of human. So, she give some messages like a freedom, tension, calm through line, face, wavelength. And, she tell to the people by contrasting images about color & color, line & line, face & face, and line & face, thick & thin, free & tension, art & real, soul & existence etc. In short, she give a real message to the peoples about unpredictable emotion & thought of humans through line, face, wavelength.

고송화 화백은 서울과 파리를 오가며 작품활동과 전시회를 펼쳐온 명망있는 원로 작가이다. 파리를 중심으로 활동하고 있는 소나무 작가 협회의 회원인 그녀는 선과 면, 파장이라는 주제로 1997년부터 최근까지 총 15회의 개인전과 10여회의 단체전에 참여해 왕성한 작품 활동을 전개 중이다.

고송화 작가의 작품에서 공통적으로 표현되는 선, 면, 파장은 인간의 내적인 감정을 표현하기 위한 그녀만의 표현 방법이다. 선을 통해 긴장과 자유로움, 또한 고요함을 동시에 전하고 있는 것이다. 즉, 색과 색, 선과 선, 면과 면, 그리고 선과 면, 두꺼움과 얇음, 풀어짐과 묶임은 자유와 긴장, 예술과 현실, 영혼과 실존 등의 대비되는 이미지를 전하는 것이다. 요컨데 그녀는 결과를 예측 할 수 없이 변화하는 인간의 감정과 사고를 그녀만의 메시지를 전달하고 있다.
