Japanese architect Ando Tadao has always created abstract and geometric spaces but has never forgotten to consider humans as the main subject of the space. However, artist Suk Min Young didn’t just stop there. She transfers Ando Tadao’s architecture onto canvas, then attempts to quench the human’s unending thirst for space and tirelessly challenges the invisible unknown space. CultureM Magazine meets with artist Suk Min Young who is expanding space by using such materials as acrylic, oil, clear coating, steel and various others objects.

일본의 건축가 안도 타다오는 추상적이고 기하학적인 공간을 창조했지만 공간의 주체인 사람을 위한 배려를 잊지 않았다. 하지만 작가 석민영은 거기서 그치지 않았다. 그녀는 안도 타다오의 건축을 캔버스에 담아 공간을 향한 무한한 갈증을 해소하고자 했고, 보이지 않는 미지의 공간을 향한 끝없는 도전을 했기 때문이다. 아크릴, 오일, 클리어 코트, 스틸 까지 다양한 오브제를 통해 공간의 확장을 짓는 작가, 석민영을 컬쳐엠매거진이 만났다.
