Cheongnamdae isn’t anymore a special villa for someone 청남대는 우리 모두의 것 입니다

A special villa for the president, Cheongnamdae. After opened the public in 2003, it is not any more the villa for the president. Although it is too difficult and delicate to explain everything about Cheongnamdae, it’s just a famous visited spots in Chungcheongbuk-Do, Korea. That is the real worth of Cheongnamdae nowdays. Cheongnamdae which means the ‘Blue House on the South Region’ is the exclusive villa for the presidents.

The construction of Cheongnamdae started in June, 1983 and was completed in December, six months after the commencement of the construction. It is built on an area of about 460 acres near the Daecheong Dam in Cheongwon-Gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do. It was restricted for security reasons for almost 20 years. In 2003, Cheongnamdae transferred its ownership to Chungcheonbuk-Do and it was then opened to the public. The reason why Cheongnamdae is a famous visited spots to the tourists, there are magnificent views nearby Cheongnamdae through four seasons.
