The 58th ArtM Concert, ‘the Art of the CELLO’ 첼리스트 배일환과 함께한 58회 아트엠콘서트

Cellist Bae Il Hwan was the guest of 58th ArtM Concert, ‘the Art of the CELLO’ at uJung Art Center on 15 March 2014. Especially, the famous Korean pianist, Kim Joo Young was played with him for this concert. ArtM Concert is a non-profit music Concert sponsored by Hyundai Pharm since 2009 which it is the limelight of mass communication as an authoritative classical concert.

Cellist Bae Il Hwan is a professor of Ehwa Women University Wind and String Instruments and a general director of cultural diplomacy charity, ‘Beautiful Mind’. He is leading cultural diplomacy and share through the music as a diplomatic emissary selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2008. 지난 3월 15일 서울 방배동 유중아트센터에서 ‘첼로의 예술’이라는 주제로 제58회 아트엠콘서트가 개최되었다. ㈜현대약품이 사회공헌활동으로 개최하는 고품격 살롱콘서트인 아트엠콘서트는 그 동안 국내 유명 연주자들과 함께 클래식의 대중화에 앞장 서 왔다. 게스트로 초대된 첼리스트 배일환은 현재 이화여대 음대 관현악과 교수로 재직 중이며 문화외교 자선단체 ‘뷰티풀 마인드’의 총괄이사 및 재능기부 연주자로 활동하고 있다.

또한 2008년에는 외교통상부 문화홍보 외교사절에 위촉되는 등 음악을 통한 나눔과 문화 외교에 앞장서고 있다. 이날 공연에서 배일환 첼리스트는 멘델스존, 쇼팽 등 대가들의 곡을  연주, 특유의 섬세하고 감각적인 선율을 선보였으며 김주영 피아니스트와의 환상적인 협연을 통해 아트엠콘서트의 품격을 한 단계 높여주었다. 컬쳐엠매거진이 독일의 작곡가 막스 브루흐의 ‘Kol Nidrei’ 연주 실황을 공개한다.
