Someone asks to me “How does it taste?” I say that it is difficult to explain the taste because there is not any Makgeolli like this one. First of all, it tastes very sour, wild but clean. No, actually, you have to taste it. It tastes sour, it makes your eyes wateringly. So, this is Kumjungsansung Sansung Makgeolli.  

누군가 ‘맛이 어떤데?’ 물어보면 비슷하다. 비유할 대상이 없어 설명하기 어렵다. 우선 무척 시고 거칠면서 깔끔한데···· 아니다, 먹어 봐야 안다. 맛이 시고 눈이 시려서, 그래서 금정산성 산성막걸리야.

About Makgeolli
Makgeolli is an alcoholic beverage native to Korea. It is made from a mixture of wheat and rice, which gives it a milky, off-white color, and sweetness. It is made by fermenting a mixture of boiled, wheat and water, and is about 6–8%alcohol by volume. Most makgeolli contains rice currently. However, a few brands contain wheat instead of rice. It was originally quite popular among farmers, earning it the name nongju, which means farmer liquor. However, it has recently started to become more popular in cities, especially with the younger generations. Dongdongju is a drink very similar to makgeolli

About Busan Kumjungsansung Sansung Makgeolli
Busan Kumjungsansung Sansung Makgeolli was first brewed for the people who worked for build the Kumjungsansung in 16c. After, it was legalized a local specialty in 1978, it was designated the first Korea traditional wine. And it was fond of drinking by Korean from now on.
The groundwater from 128 meters was used for this Makgeolli, this is the beginning of Kumjungsansung Sansung Makgeolli’s taste. And a manufacturing process is totally same way like a traditional brewing way. So, Busan Kumjungsansung Sansung Makgeolli is nature fermented alcoholic beverage and was designated the only local alcoholic beverage in Korea.

부산 금정산성 산성막걸리
16세기 금정산성 축성 때 군졸들이 먹기 위해 최초로 양조된 부산 금정산성 산성막걸리는 1978년 지역 특산물로 양성화 된 후 대한민국 민속주 1호로 선정된 전통주이다. 지하 182m에서 나오는 지하수는 부산 금정산성 산성막걸리만의 흉내 낼 수 없는 맛의 시작으로 제조 공정 또한 전통 양조 방식을 그대로 사용하고  있다. 어떤 첨가물도 가미하지 않은 순수 자연 발효주로 우리나라 많은 막걸리 중에서 유일하게 향토민속주로 지정되어 있다.
