Could it be because he has been living a workaholic life that he simply envied the time a cafe owner could have? We have been curious for quite sometimes about Kim Jong Hun’s life where he bravely gave up the life of CEO at a trading company and became the owner of book cafe & family restaurant ‘Peace of mind” for the past 11 years. It wasn’t about just having a comfortable life but it was about having a life and finding peace in his mind, which got him started on ‘Peace of Mind” and eventually found the true meaning of his life. And there she is standing next him, his partner and wife, professor Lee Hyung Sook.

Kim Jong Hun and his wife Prof Lee Hyung Sook opened up book café & family restaurant to practice keeping the peace in their mind in Chuncheon, Kangwan-do where nature is everywhere 365 days of the year. The place holds more than 20.000 calligraphy, LP collections and antique books. Here a husband who loves books and a wife who loves cooking resides and enjoys their lives together.

책과 함께 살아가는 카페지기의 삶이 부러웠기 때문일까. 대기업 CEO의 삶을 과감하게 포기하고 북 카페 & 패밀리 레스토랑 “Peace of Mind” 카페지기로 살아 온 김종헌 대표의 11년이 궁금했다. 단순히 편안한 인생의 2막을 위해서가 아니었다. 사람답게 살기 위해서, 마음의 평화를 얻기 위해서 시작한 “Peace of Mind”로 김종헌 대표는 인생의 진정한 의미를 찾을 수 있었다. 그리고 세상에서 가장 든든한 조력자이자 친구인 아내 이형숙 교수가 모든 시간을 함께 해왔다.

1년 365일 자연과 함께 할 수 있는 강원도 춘천에서 북 카페 & 패밀리 레스토랑 “Peace of Mind”를 운영하며 진정한 마음의 평화를 실천하고 있는 김종헌 대표와 이형숙을 교수. 서예 작품, LP판, 고서 등 2만여점이 넘는 소장품이 가득한 그 곳에서 책을 사랑하는 남편과 요리는 사랑하는 아내를 만났다.
