Kimchangwan band’s 3rd album “Forgiveness” 김창완 밴드 3집, “용서”

The only one of Korea’s pop legend, Kim Chang Wan is back with Kim Chang Wan band. In fact, Kim Chang Wan band has released the third regular album “Forgiveness” in 9 months. There are live 9 tracks in the third regular album “Forgiveness” with the tension of one take-recording way & art of space for becoming real music.

The title song, ‘7th Grader’ depicts the problem of modern society where only hope and communication are emphasized, with a hope that this society will be able to understand and accept 7th graders’ provocations.

Also, this album includes ‘Whenever I strum E Major’, and ‘How Not to Love You’ that were released as digital singles last year, as well as ‘Yellow Ribbon’ which was made to soothe the wounded heart from SaeWol Ferry disaster, and ‘Arirang’ which received reviews for being the most creative and impressive Arirang ever.

오늘도 하루만큼 젊어지고 있는 대한민국 가요계의 살아있는 어린왕자, 김창완이 돌아왔다. 김창완을 필두로 이상훈, 최원식, 강윤기, 염민열으로 구성된 김창완 밴드가 세 번째 정규 앨범 “용서”를 발표했다.

원 테이크 녹음 방식이 주는 긴장감과 매 순간 완성되는 공간의 미학이 온전히 담겨진 세 번째 정규 앨범 “용서” 타이틀 곡 “중2”를 포함해 모두 9곡이 수록되어 있다. 타이틀 곡 “중2”는 희망과 소통만을 강조하는 현 사회가 갖고 있는 문제점을 지적하며 중2의 도발을 포용할 수 있는 그런 사회가 되길 바라는 마음을 담아낸 곡으로 유쾌함을 담아냈다.

또한 이번 앨범에는 지난해 디지털 싱글로 발표됐던 ‘E메이져를 치면’, ‘괴로워’와 세월호 사건으로 받은 상처를 위로하기 위해 만들어졌던 ‘노란리본’, 그 어느 것보다도 독창적이고 인상적인 아리랑이라는 평을 받은 ‘아리랑’등이 수록되어 있다.
