Zia Hyun-Su Shin’s 2nd album “Canto Antigo” 신지아의 “칸토 안티고”

A famous Korean violinist, Shin Zi A has released her second album ‘Canto Antigo’. In fact, Shin Zi A is one of the best violinist of Korea who won at the three grand concour. So, she is returned her new album ‘Canto Antigo’ in 2015, which it means ‘the old house’ in Portugal.

Especially, this album was prepared by the famous guitar duo, Lee Song-Ou & Oliver Fartach-Nain in 5 years ago who had played with the violist, Richard Yong Jae O’neill’s album “Winter Journey” in 2007. In fact, they needed a violinist who has sensual performing skill with guitar, when they listened Shin Zi A’s playing, they fell in love with her. There are 16 world folk songs played by violin & guitar’s fantastic harmony.

세계 3대 콩쿠르를 석권하며 대한민국에서 가장 주목 받는 클래식 뮤지션, 바이올리니스트 신지아가 두 번째 앨범 “칸토 안티고”를 발표했다. 포르투갈어로 ‘오래된 노래’를 뜻하는 이번 앨범에 브라질, 멕시코, 아르헨티나 등 남미의 이국적인 풍광이 가득한 연주 곡으로 돌아 온 것이다.

비올리스트 리처드 용재 오닐의 “겨울여행” 앨범을 통해 알려진 환상의 기타 듀오 이성우 & 올리버 파르티쉬–나이니가 5년 전부터 기획한 이번 앨범으로 클래식 기타와 어울릴 수 있는 바이올린 음색의 연주자를 찾다가 신지아의 ’칸초네‘를 듣고 그녀와 함께 완성한 앨범이다. 19세기 중반 멕시코의 ‘산둥가’부터 베네수엘라의 ‘밤의 세레나데’, 브라질의 ‘깨어 있는 아가씨’, 스페인의 ‘도둑의 노래’ 등 남미, 미국, 영국 등의 세계민요 16곡을 바이올린과 기타의 환상적인 조화로 담아냈다.
