One more Italy, Abruzzo 아브루쪼에 가면 와인이 있어서 행복합니다

Abruzzo is one of the states in Italy which is west-east of Italy. It faces to the Adriatic Sea, very much similar to Kangwon-do in Korea. Abruzzo has surprisingly beautiful sea side, and just opposite side there are outstanding mountains which are so remarkable in Italy.

I do not hesitate to choose that the lovely beach in most there is in Pescara. Not too much humid, so fresh air and winds of the sea, moreover the sunshine makes you just happy. I highly recommend you to have enough time to walk around there. Forget all your schedules tightly arranged.

On the other side in Abruzzo is designated a national park surrounding the Apennine Mountains. Especially, the Gran Sasso rises 3,000 meters above the sea level and it’s the most significant. With the geographical features, Abruzzo also has hundreds of hills which are the one of perfect terroir for the viticulture. The main agricultural products here are olive, truffle and grape(wine).

The main grape for the red wine is Montepulciano and for the white wine is Trebbiano. Montepulciano is the most well-known variety in the middle of Italy with Sangiovese. The glass of Montepulciano is just naturally soft in your mouth, it don’t make you tried with too much powerful tastes. The most enjoyable glass with old friend of mine would be Montepulciano of Abruzzo.

Interestingly I could feel more from Trebbiano. It was all about just fresh and young in the glass. Meanwhile it also completes the full of flavors in your mouth with another glass. Trebbiano couldn’t be described with just one word. Besides it expresses more with food. Abruzzo has various and unique cuisines as your expectation and they perfectly matche with Montepulciano and Trebbiano.

There are so much famous and fabulous places in Italy for your vacation. However, one more Italy for me with the glasses of wines is ABRUZZO.
