Dart manipulation 다트의 활용

I want to introduce some pieces designed by dart. In fact, there isn’t the standardized dart position, it’s gonna be hard trip for express perfect beauty like the first design. Because, I pompously draw for making pattern, I have a new fitting on the cotton cloth used it. And then, I modify one, two, three times in everyday matters.

So, I attach to think my recent works and Gran who is the main character of Albert Camus’s novel ‘Fest’. Because in the novel, Gran rewrites his novel forepart again and again, I feel that Gran’s work process is similar to mine.

Maybe, we have to write scrupulous and reflective and infinitely delicate for writing novel. In short, it will be really hard work. But, I think that we have to tell our thought if we really want it. Although it is poor, I will introduce my story on my mind. So, those works contains a series of working process for reaching my real work.

이번 달에는 다트를 사용해 작업한 작품을 소개하고자 한다. 규격화된 다트의 위치가 아닐 경우 최초 디자인한 그림 속의 완벽한 아름다움을 실현시키는 것은 때론 고된 여정이 되기도 한다. 호기롭게 그렸던 그림을 패턴으로 만들고 또 그것을 광목에 옮겨 가봉을 하고 1차적인 결과를 봤을 때, 2차, 3차 수정을 하는 것은 일상 다반사기 때문이다.

내가 원하는 다트를 찾아 가는 과정이 마치 예전에 읽었던 알베르 카뮈의 소설 ‘페스트’에서 자신의 소설의 첫 부분을 쓰고 다시 쓰기를 반복하던 주인공 ‘그랑’의 모습 같아 최근 작업하고 있는 옷들과 엮어 보았다.

아마도 소설은 단어 하나하나를 세밀하게 조율하며 글을 써 나가는 고된 작업일 것이다. 하지만, 개인적으로 꼭 하고 싶은 이야기가 있다면 그것을 먼저 풀어놓는 것도 바람직하다고 생각한다. 그래서 나는 엉성할지라도 하고 싶은 이야기를 먼저 써 나가기로 했다. 이 작품은 내가 생각하는 진짜 작업에 다가가는 일련의 작업의 과정을 담고 있다.
