Feign : Keep it Up !

​ is an art piece of ‘Weights series’, and it embodies that some serious thoughts about ‘the weight of time’ in our life. The weight of a day, what is your one day weight? Sometimes, it is too heavy more than we can take. If you feel that today is too hard, would you prepare some comfort messages for yourself? Returning home after a tiring day, I heard ‘Keep it Up !’ of OKDAL while I lied on the bench with fallen leaves. I want to say for someone that we are enough good, we need some rest, so ‘Keep it Up !’. Of course, it is the mind for us. “Keep it Up !”

내숭 : 수고했어, 오늘도

<내숭 : 수고했어, 오늘도>는 ‘역기 시리즈’중 한 작품으로 시간의 무게에 대한 생각을 옮긴 작업입니다. 당신의 오늘 하루는 몇 kg였나요, 하루의 무게. 가끔 버거울 만큼 무겁기도 합니다. 오늘 하루가 힘들게 느껴졌다면, 스스로에게 수고했다고 위로의 말을 해주면 어떨지. 하루를 무사히 마치고 돌아와, 낙엽이 내린 야외 벤치에 누워 옥상달빛의 ‘수고했어, 오늘도’를 들어봅니다. 바쁘게 앞만 보고 목표를 향해 달려가는 우리의 모습을 보며, ‘잠시 쉬어도 돼!, 수고했어’라고 말해주고 싶습니다. 물론 우리 모두가 듣고 싶은 말이기도 하고요. “수고했어, 오늘도.” – 한국화 화가 김현정
