YU SEUNG WOO has released a new mini album ‘Pit a Pat’. He stands somewhere between a boy and a man, a charming crossroad. That’s why YU SEUNG WOO’s new album ‘Pit a Pat’ contains both the youthfulness of a teenager and the passion of a young man. This album is familiar but not cliche, expressing the different moments of YU SEUNGWOO’s young days. YU SEUNG WOO’s unique style tells us the cycle of puppy love. The title song ‘Whatever’ featuring Crucial Star is about YU SEUNG WOO’s emotional maturing and changing at the point of a break-up. He sings, ‘Sometimes, we’d laugh to tears / Sometimes, we’d shout and fight / But they’re all nothing, things I can forget’. It’s about a young man in his twenties learning how to cope with saying goodbye. The song shows YU SEUNGWOO growing a bit more mature from the shy boy he used to be.

유승우가 2016년의 첫 미니 앨범 ‘Pit a Pat’를 발표했다. 10대의 풋풋함을 지나 청년의 싱그러움까지 고루 담은 이번 앨범에는 익숙하면서도 진부하지 않은 전개로 설익은 사랑의 싸이클을 순차적으로 들려주고 있다. 총 다섯 곡이 수록된 이번 앨범의 타이틀 곡 ‘뭐 어때’는 그의 성숙한 감정의 변화를 이별의 시점에서 담아낸 대표 곡이다. 지난해 음원차트 1위에 오른 ‘예뻐서 (Feat. 루이 Of 긱스)’의 작곡가 김도훈이 또 한번 히트곡의 틀을 완성했고, 브라더수가 이별 후 먹먹한 감정을 가사로 옮겼다. ‘가끔 눈물 나게 함께 웃던 일도, 때론 소리치며 둘이 싸운 일도 잊으면 되는데 별일 아닌 건데..’라며 제법 대범하게 대처할 줄 아는 스무살의 이별 노래. 수줍게 바라만 보던 소년의 한 뼘 더 자란 감정이기도 하다.
