FEIGN : I’m a Woman

“A birth name of this piece is ‘A binge after date’. Did you happen to binge after the first date or the blind date? Whether you are man or woman, you have probably had an experience like that. Usually, I couldn’t eat very well when I came out in my house. So, I often go on a binge when I return my home.”

“When I feel the spring is coming to me, I can’t eat well because I am worried about my weight & body figure. At that time, many delicious foods are literally ‘a pie in the sky’. I don’t feel well hunger while I am out cause excited and nervous. But I feel little by little hunger on the way going home, I feel totally down about my hunger when I arrive my home.” By a Korean painter, Kim Hyun Jung

내숭 : 나도 여자랍니다

“이번 작품의 태명은 ‘데이트 후 폭식’입니다. 혹시 첫 소개팅 자리나 데이트 후 폭식해보신 적 있으신가요? 여성분이든, 남성분이든 한 번쯤 이런 경험이 있을 거라고 생각합니다. 저는 밖에서는 긴장이 되고 편하게 잘 못 먹어서 그런지, 집에 돌아오면 식욕이 폭발하곤 하는데요.”

“옷이 얇아지는 봄날이 다가오면, 몸무게가 신경이 쓰여 마음껏 못 먹죠. 그때는 맛있는 음식은 ‘그림의 떡’입니다. 설레고, 긴장되는 마음에 외출할 때는 배고픈지 잘 몰랐는데요. 집에 가는 길, 뭔가 허전한 듯하더니, 집에 도착하자마자 긴장이 확 풀려버립니다!” – 한국 화가 김현정
