“I started new challenge and those like-mad, ridiculous acting made me feel catharsis. And my life is endless surprises.”

Just as I suspected, it was him. Ken-Jeong(42, Hollywood actor).
Lo and behold, his inexorable creative energy! What could we do but love him? He is Mr., the weird mafia boss from the movie ‘Hangover’, who rushed out of the car trunk with totally naked, isn’t he?
Preview of the movie ‘Hangover 2’ took place at Mega-box, Samsung-dong in Seoul on August 16th.
The minute he stepped into the photo wall, he broke an uncomfortable atmosphere.
And every single moment was pleasant with him. I was so confused with this man wearing a suit and tie who had his hair combed back very neatly might be the same man from the movie hangover who jumped out of the car trunk in the nuddy! His hilarious expression and some kind of erotic pose for the camera, however, raised a laugh in there. Is there anybody who can change the mood? Then, you need to see him, Ken-Jeong. He could easily remove the common tension during the celeb’s preview as showing his great talent.
He made his visit to his mother’s country here in Korea after a 25-year hiatus in order to promote the comic movie ‘Hangover 2’ which made him a star. The movie is going to be released on August 25th. He already brought us big laughter as played eccentric who was involved in some kind of conspiracy in the newly-released film ‘transformer 3.’
He is mindful of playing his acting career not only the US but also in Korea his homeland. He said, “I’d like to play the various characters as much as possible without choice of genre.” and he emphasized like, “My life is still opened which was full of endless surprises.”
“As I say it out loud, it’s still surreal. I was happy being the doctor from Knocked Up, alright? That was like, amazing. If that were to be the last thing I’d do, it would be a life well spent in the arts. So to be Mr. Chow and [star in] two Hangovers, a third season of Community and to be in Transformers? Come on it’s ridiculous. It’s an embarrassment of riches.”
Jeong was nominated for two 2010 MTV Movie Awards, winning the award for ‘Best WTF Moment’ as well as being nominated for MTV Movie Award for ‘Best Villain for The Hangover.’ The nuddy scene was born by his wonderfully spontaneous idea. Currently, he represents Korean comedian in Hollywood.
But becoming a comedian was not the first walking in his career at the first time in his life. You won’t believe this. He was a doctor who graduated one of the most prestigious universities in the US! Now, who knows what tomorrow will bring?
Jeong was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Korean immigrants Young and D.K. Jeong, who was a professor at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina for 35 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University in 1990 and attained his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. But, his big turning point came to him when he won the Big Easy Laff-Off, of which NBC president Brandon Tartikoff and The Improv founder Budd Friedman were judges. They both urged Jeong to move to Los Angeles, and he began performing regularly at the Improve and Laugh Factory comedy clubs.
He has appeared in many movies such as, and .
“Life is too short. If you want to succeed, get the best out of time given to you.. If you feel afraid of doing, everything will slip through your fingers while you can’t do anything.
I started new challenge and those like-mad, ridiculous acting made me feel catharsis.
And my life is endless surprises,”Jeong said during his interview.
The Hangover Part II held its premiere on May 19, 2011, at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. On its opening weekend, it earned $177.8 million, which was the highest-grossing worldwide opening for a comedy film, taking the record from ‘The Simpsons Movie'($170.9 million). On the weekend of June 17–19, 2011, it out-grossed its predecessor in worldwide earnings to become the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time
The Hangover Part II is a 2011 American comedy film and sequel to 2009’s The Hangover. Two years after their escapade in Las Vegas, Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper), Doug (Justin Bartha), and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) are traveling to Thailand to celebrate Stu’s impending wedding to Lauren (Jamie Chung).
At the end of the night, Stu hesitantly joins Phil, Doug, Alan and Teddy for a beer.
The following morning, the found Teddy’s severed finger. Panicked, the trio dispose of Chow’s body in an ice machine.
Ken Jeong played a weird mafia boss‘Mr. Chow’again. He mentioned his character Chow as, “Chow has a sense of humor. He has a natural ability. Frankness and foursquareness is unique to him.”
The Culture M was the one who covered him on his preview. He accepted the request for an interview. He told us he is very pleased with having opportunity to come to his homeland after a long while and hope everything would be fined and lucky. He extended service to fans as taking pictures with them in person right before he enters into the theater. Lastly, he didn’t forget to being a star who has a good sense like saying, “Kam sa hab ni da.” with his cute but clear Korean accent.
“I’d like to have a chance to work with Korean people. Korea is my home country and the only answer the person who I am today. I am proud of myself as Korean actor. Visit Korea this time means a lot to me more than just promoting movie. I feel like I am back in home.”
I was so impressed by his passion for work. His passion for acting knows no measure.
If this summer comes really hot to you, you are so lucky. You have Ken Jeong who will break your summer heat! Why don’t you go out for the movie ‘Hangover 2’? All you need to prepare is just some pop-corns and brave heart. Because you could nearly died laughing!
