Waiting. Although it costs a considerable time & effort, it makes us happy when we endure the waiting to the end. I prepared my exhibition brick by brick. I smile alone while I imagine my piece upon the wall. No matter what the consequences may be, I finish the waiting.

The title of piece ‘HAPPY MONKEY’ means a happy red monkey year for 2016 new year. There are many scenes in the piece all together for celebrating 2016 new year such as ‘A boy Dancer’ of Danwon Kim Hong Do who is the Korean artist in the 18th century, ‘Monkeys on a Tree’ of the Japanese artist MORI Sosen, and ‘Feign girl’ of the young Korean artist Kim Hyun Jung below ‘HAPPY NEW YEAR’.

​ is an art piece of ‘Weights series’, and it embodies that some serious thoughts about ‘the weight of time’ in our life. The weight of a day, what is your one day weight? Sometimes, it is too heavy more than we can take. If you feel that today is too hard, would you prepare some comfort messages for yourself?

Literally, this piece expresses a same meaning what the piece says. In fact, ‘Live due to form, Die due to form’ means ‘satisfaction with one’s unique style’, many people looked in a negative light for the trend unlike individuality in 1990’s.

Luxurious dining table for a meal. It is a big gift for me. I ordered a bowl of Jajangmyeon(Noodles with Black Soybean Sauce) and Tangsuyuk(Sweet and Sour Pork) set, put them on the delivery box. And I re-watched the countless seen movie ‘Factory Girl’ about Andy Warhol & his muse, Edie Sedgwick.

Sometimes I face an unseen limitation, so I feel that it is too much for my strength. But I am happy, because of my present gives to me a multitude of possibilities. I know very well that it is a totally difficult proces, the painting isn’t painful things but happiest moments.

Like a child who imitates an adult, a naïve lady takes up the posture like a professional billiard player. Expecting to grow for professional player like them, I calm myself down with a passion, a will, an effort. Although I collapse by such a little thing as usual, I am walking step by step for my future.
