An aritst Youn Gui Deog’s artwork, “Image brulee” 작가 윤귀덕을 소개합니다

A young Korean artist, Youn Gui Deog is an unique artist who captured unusual images by burned objets. Also, she is a very promising young artist as a member of AJAC(Association Jeune Artiste Coréen, Association Young Artist Korea in France). After burning some papers which printed great painting, religion people, historical famous people, she wants to focus on totally different images. So, she suggests new view point of reproductive image by combustion we knew. Meanwhile, she particpates in Korea & France artists association AJAC new exhibition as a Korean artist, it will held from 16th to 21th October at Paris, France. CultureM Magazine releases Youn Gui Deog’s art pieces on two separate occasions.

프랑스에서 활동하는 대한민국 젊은 작가들의 모임인 재불청년 작가회에서 활동하고 있는 윤귀덕은 불에 탄 이미지를 통해 자신만의 작품 세계를 펼치고 있는 독특한 작가이다. 그녀는 백지에 그려진 명화, 종교, 역사적인 인물을 태우는 과정을 통해 논란이 될만하고 비도덕적이나 예술이란 이름으로 용인될 수 있는 그 경계와 사물의 본질에 대해 접근해 보고자 했다.
또한 그녀는 일반적인 “태우기”는 완전연소를 통한 소멸을 뜻하나 이 작업을 통해서 이미지들이 완전 연소가 된 후에도 본래의 이미지를 알아볼 수 있고 마치 죽음을 초월하여 부활한 것 같은 인상을 포착한 것이다. 이 같은 작업을 통해 그녀는 일반적으로 우리가 알고 있던 연소의 다른 측면을 이용한 이미지 재생산의 새로운 방법을 제시했다.
