QE’s signature, ‘Embroidery work’ 그녀를 말해주는 작업을 소개합니다

There are many cloths for making clothes such as printed cloth, embroidery cloth, tweed in this fashion world. Among the many cloths, a Korean fashion designer ‘QE’ personally prepares embroidery cloths for works. Here are QE’s three images, which it is cloth working process for making real clothes. So, we can say that these are the mental agony for being more sensual fashion designer.

Usually, this process is called ‘Recherches de broderies’ in French. In fact, this process is so difficult works even the world best fashion brands. Although it is a very hard work for designer, many designers knows that it is also important process for express theirs identity. For example, CHANEL’s tweed is a good example of this work.

옷으로 만들어 지는 천들 중에는 프린트된 천, 자수를 놓은 천, 엮어 만든 트위드 천 등 다양한 천들이 존재한다. 그 중에서 디자이너 QE는 자수를 이용한 천 작업을 즐겨 한다. 현재 보이는 3개의 이미지는 실제로 옷을 만드는 천이 되기 전의 과정을 담은 것으로 창작의 고통을 느끼는 여느 디자이너의 고민을 담아낸 QE의 습작이라고 할 수 있을 것이다.

일반적으로 이 과정을 프랑스어로 ‘르쉐르슈 드 브로드리(Recherches de broderies)’라 한다. 실제로 이런 과정을 통해 천을 만드는 작업은 소위 메이저 급 브랜드가 아니면 하기 힘든 공정이지만 실루엣 이외에도 디자이너들의 정체성을 표현하기 위해 많은 디자이너들은 천 작업에 중요성을 두기도 한다. 샤넬의 트위드가 가장 좋은 예라고 할 수 있다.
