Kim Ga On Trio was the guest of 77th ArtM Concert at uJung Art Center. ArtM Concert is a non-profit music Concert sponsored by Hyundai Pharm since 2009 which it is the limelight of mass communication as an authoritative classical concert. Also, ArtM Concert was named ‘Art is Tree’ by Ministry of Culture, Spots and Tourism, Korea in March 2015.

77th ArtM Concert’s main guest, Kim Ga On Trio is the one of the best Korean jazz trio with a pianist Kim Ga On, bassist Kim In Young, drummer Kim Hong Gi. In fact, Kim Ga On majored the musical composition from the Seoul national university, and graduated from the New York university. And now, he plays as a pianist of the stylish fusion jazz band ‘Moasek’ meanwhile stands on the platform for train younger students. Also, Kim In Young is a well-talented bassist who already worked with several famous musicians. And Kim Hong Gi is a veteran jazz drummer who won the best crossover & jazz music at Korean Music Award 2013.

In 77th ArtM Concert, they performed various genre song such as Kim Ga On’s first album track ’Like the other day’, jazz standard song ‘Autumn Leaves’, and Lee Moon Sae’s ‘Under the shade of street tress’ etc. CultureM Magazine releases Kim Ga On’s first album track ’Like the other day’ live recording video, which performed by Kim Ga On Trio.

Jazz Pianist, Kim Ga On

(주)현대약품이 주최하고 (주)아트엠플러스가 주관하는 제77회 아트엠콘서트가 ‘재즈가 흐르는 감성 여행’이라는 주제로 인기 재즈 그룹인 ‘김가온 트리오’와 함께했다. 2009년 5월 첫 공연을 시작으로 국내 정상급 뮤지션들과 함께 해온 아트엠콘서트는 공연 수익금 전액을 한국문화예술위원회에 기부하는 현대약품의 사회공헌활동이다. 또한 지난 3월에는 문화체육관광부가 선정하는 ‘문화예술후원우수기관’으로 선정되어 그 의미를 더 했다.

77회 아트엠콘서트를 빛내준 김가온 트리오는 재즈 피아니스트인 김가온을 중심으로 베이스 김인영, 드럼 김홍기로 구성된 재즈 팀이다. 김가온은 서울대 작곡과를 졸업하고 뉴욕에서 음악 공부를 한 인재로 각종 재즈 페스티벌에서 활약하고 있는 국내 대표 재즈 아티스트다. 김인영 역시 국내 유명 뮤지션과 다수의 음악 작업을 한 실력파 베이시스트이며, 김홍기는 ‘2013 한국 대중음악상’에서 최우수 크로스오버&재즈 음반 대상을 차지한 재즈 드러머다.

이번 공연에서 이들은 김가온 1집의 대표 곡인 ‘Like the other day’와 재즈 스탠다드 곡 ‘Autumn Leaves’, 가수 이문세의 ‘가로수 그늘 아래 서면’ 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 통해 김가온 트리오만의 독창적인 재즈 공연을 선보였다. 컬쳐엠매거진이 77회 아트엠콘서트를 빛내준 김아온 트리오가 연주한 김가온 1집 수록 곡 ‘Like the other day’ 연주 실황을 공개한다.
