At 31 years of age, should we take Wayne’s retirement talk seriously? With the intricacy and artistic substance of “Believe Me”, I for one hope he reconsiders. The disciplined, psychedelic flow is magnetic, with Weezy stating his influence over the hip-hop history.
2013 was an immense year for hip-hop, with so many of the younger stars superseding the old timers, in terms of both artistic and financial merit. Internationally, 2013 was a year consisting of relentless releases, quality as much as quantity.
Since 2010, there have been some absolutely killer hip-hop tunes. CultureM has compiled a list of my five favorite tracks, the type of tracks that make you revel in the sheer brilliance of this genre.
