I don’t remember when, summer was changing for girl group season. In fact, there are not special seasons for girl group, however, summer is good season for showing theirs femme charming. That is true. So, many girl groups appears in this summer like we already promised. A debut song ‘UP N DOWN’ is a funny funky song mixed dynamic dance beat which it has typical love words & melody for lover. Especially, they express girl’s unique innocence charming in the MV. it will be great difference with another girl group. Sexy or innocence, these are forever homework for every girl group all over the world. So, I really hope that ‘YE-A’ grows up real singers for represent Korea. This is certain ‘YE-A’ is already big part of K-pop history.

해마다 여름이 되면 어김없이 발생하는 걸 그룹의 범람 속에서 대중에게 기억될 그룹은 과연 몇이나 될런지. 하지만 변화무쌍한 콘셉트로 등장하는 걸그룹이 있기에 여전히 K-pop이 아시아 대중문화를 선도한다고 믿고 싶다. 여기 또 하나의 기대되는 신인 걸 그룹, ‘예아’가 등장했다. ‘예술을 하는 아이들’이라는 뜻의 ‘예아’는 유명 프로듀서 양정승이 직접 발굴, 제작했으며 이겨, 혜이, 챠이, 도혜, 피어, 하디, 카쥬, 여린으로 구성된 8인조 그룹이다.

데뷔곡 ‘UP N DOWN’은 퍼니 펑키 장르에 상큼 발랄함을 더한 댄스곡으로, 사랑에 대한 감정을 유쾌하게 표현해 Ye-A(예아)의 소녀 감성을 느낄 수 있는 곡이다. 또한, 동화를 연상케 하는 파스텔톤의 뮤직비디오는 과도한 노출의 걸 그룹과는 차별화된 예아만의 매력을 보여준다. 영원히 변하지 않는 걸 그룹의 콘셉트, 섹시 혹은 청순. 오래도록 사랑 받는 걸 그룹으로 성장하기 위해 섹시와 청순의 적절한 조화, 그리고 물, 불을 가리지 않고 뛰어드는 헝그리 정신까지. 아직 갈 길이 까마득한 그녀들의 행보를 기대해본다.
