One of the best soul vocalist in Korea, Jung Yup has released the third regular album ‘Merry Go Round’. As a singer-song writer who has a sweet & sensual voice, he was huge loved by international fans. So, he is returned with jazz style’s soft 10 tracks. And like BrownEyedSoul’s albums, he added clean contemporary pop and jazz genre for his third album.

The double title track ‘My Valentine’ is a sweet & lovely ballad song about the fluttering heart for lover. Otherwise, the another title track ‘Island(Feat. Uniquenote)’ is a typical sad ballad track which consists of piano playing & Jung Yup’s gorgeous voice. Also, there are various genre tracks such as ‘My Style’, ‘Merry Go Round’, ‘A Thousand Miles(With Lisa Ono)’, ‘Curtain call’ etc.

소울 보컬리스트 정엽이 정규 3집 앨범 ‘Merry Go Round’를 발표했다. 부드럽고 섬세한 목소리로데뷔 이후 꾸준한 사랑을 받아 온 정엽이 라디오를 접고 앨범 작업에 전념할 만큼 혼신의 힘을 쏟아 재즈풍의 멜로디와 부드럽지만 흥겨운 음악으로 돌아온 것이다. 브라운아이드소울 앨범과 마찬가지로 깔끔한 컨템포러리 팝 멜로디에 재즈의 달콤한 파격을 더해 부드러우면서도 흥겨운 10곡으로 앨범을 가득 메웠다.

정엽의 기타연주로 시작되는 앨범의 더블 타이틀 트랙 ‘My Valentine’은 밝고 달콤한 가사로 이루어진 연애의 설렘을 그려냈으며 또 다른 타이틀 트랙 ‘Island(Feat. 유니크노트)’는 섬세한 피아노 터치와 정엽 특유의 애절한 감성을 만끽할 수 있는 보컬과 피아노만으로 이루어진 곡이다. 또한 ‘My Style’, ‘회전목마’, ‘A Thousand Miles (With Lisa Ono)’, ‘커튼콜’ 등의 수록 곡으로 가장 정엽다운 앨범의 완성도를 더 했다.
