The world as it is skating on thin ice, there is a feeling that it is fragile and that as in Winter, the end of winter, people are soon to see something new, a renewal of hope and a rediscovery. This is what I hope 2016 will be: a strong attachment to more humanistic values, not forgetting that what we possess is fugitive and that we’re only sliding on this life, like the skaters.
A Korean illustrator ZIPCY often shows her gorgeous art pieces draw from the pretty girl images. Recently, she opens her art piece from a rookie girl group ’s member, CHENG XIAO. Exhibiting in Amsterdam was a great inspiration for me and it pushed me to move forward with my artistic practice, and to paint more freely, as if it was a piece of music. Using inks and acrylics together with pieces of collage, i reinvent a universe in which the viewer is invited to dream, breathe and imagine his/her own magical world. I will be live painting in Amsterdam accompanied with musician Fred.
Kwon Oh Shin’s work is affectionate. If I can be more honest, her work feels very comfortable because it has room for me to imagine my own world. Based on her childhood memory, Kwon Oh Shin carves her happy memories into her work. Although she had more than enough talent and skills to be an artist, she is very humble and careful when she introduces her work.
Through drawing, photography, and travel, a young Ireland artist, Liam Berrington wants to communicate all over the world.
