Strong scent a capacity island, Shinansum Makgeolli
I had spilled white Makgeolli from the spout of a kettle over catch country bumpy lane. A little bit sour and burning smell of Makgeolli with the lower ends of clothes during my vacation.
I am sure that this Makgeolli’s smell is not fresh. But there is strong scent of Makgeolli in this island which it was fermented by proper time and wind, added peoples odor. This Makgeolli’s smell & taste are so unique. Then i realized it. This is the Shinansum Makgeolli.

섬 안을 돌고 도는 정겨운 향기, 신안섬 막걸리
울퉁불퉁했던 시골길 돌부리에 채이면서 주전자 주둥이로 하얀 막걸리를 흘리곤 했다. 그 시큼하고, 약간은 얼얼했던 막걸리의 향기는 그렇게 방학 내내 옷자락 어딘가에 함께 했다. 금방 만든 신선한 막걸리의 냄새가 아니라 적당한 시간과 바람에 삭히고, 사람들의 체취가 더해져 만들어진 막걸리 향이 섬 안 주조장에서 풍겼다.

About Shinan
Made of 1004 islands, Shinan is also called ‘Angel’s island. Shinan is southern east extremity island, and takes 4 hours 30 minutes by boat from the shore. However, when arrived in an island through strong waves, there is blue sea and dynamic tracking course.
